大型敲花铜佛头
西藏/尼泊尔 清1644-1911年
高93cm/宽75cm/深72cm
局部加彩,配底座。品相等级B,有破损,加彩部分磨损。
Tibet/Nepal. Qing dynastie (1644-1911). Bronze in repoussé, partly painted with pigments. The face shows a serene look with a smiling mouth. The narrow eyes are elegantly swung, likewise the lips. Here are leftovers to find from a meticulous painting with detail. Wearing heavy earrings elongated the lobes and left slits, typical for Buddhist figures. The hairdo is set off from the face and is covered with the residue of lapis lazuli, the hair is depicted by engraved lines. On the back a part of a jeweled headband is partly preserved. On the forehead, at the place of the urna, a remnant of something attached here is preserved. It might have been the frontal part of the headband or an urna. At the neck there is an extension for fixing the head to a body. So we can assume that it was once part of a monumental figure for a temple. Height 93cm, width 75cm, depth 72cm. On frame on a base. Condition B. Damaged, painting rubbed.
