拍品描述: A RUSSIAN ICON OF THE BOGOLIUBSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD, LATE 17TH-EARLY 18TH CENTURY
the Mother of God shown in an ornately decorated maphorion on the left side of the composition facing a group of five saints, an image of the Christ Child emerging from the heavens is presented below, the composition surrounded by a deep green and red border. Egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on wood panel with a kovcheg. Two insert splints on the back (both missing). 35 x 30.7 cm (13 3/4 x 12 1/8 in.)
