拍品描述: Southeast Asia, Indochina, Ming Dynasty, ca. 16th century CE. An elaborately decorated Ming Dynasty deep green glazed pottery jar with a shoulder that tapers to a short cylindrical neck. The body is impressed with four dragon-like beings, a band of stylized geometric crest-like forms just beneath the shoulder, and pointed motifs circulating the shoulder. The gorgeous green hues stem from the copper-reen lead silicate glaze used to adorn earthenware in ancient China. Stunning and rare! Size: 4" in diameter x 4.75" H (10.2 cm x 12.1 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Paul and Louise Bernheimer, Cambridge, MA and Laguna Woods, CA, acquired before 1980.
