拍品描述: China, Warring States Period, 475 to 221 BCE. This is a bronze dagger blade with the remains of gilding; gilt was often applied over bronze to prevent oxidation and for decoration. As the name suggests, this dagger was made during a time of great flux in Chinese society, when kingdoms and warlords traded land constantly, and finely made weapons such as this one were a sign of great prestige. Size: 10.2" L x 1.2" W (25.9 cm x 3 cm).

Provenance: Ex-Estate of John Piscopo. Mr. Piscopo was one of the largest collectors of ancient weapons in the US with a collection that spanned all cultures, all ages. Ex- Anthony Allen.
