拍品描述: Bronze and gilding. Thailand, Ratanakosin, 19th cent. An impressive large bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni seated in meditation on a lotus pedestal that is set on a high throne. The throne is threefold entwined of a snake body that is ascending at the back ending in seven protective Naga heads above Buddha’s head. The expressive heads are characteristic for the Ratanakosin style and contrast the tranquil harmony of the statue. Buddha is seated in Paryankasana, the hands rest in his lap; Buddha with rich attire. Inserted Ketumala (flame) and Naga head. HEIGHT 105,5 CM From a German private collection
