拍品描述: Gilded bronze. Thailand, Ratanakosin, 19th cent. A very expressive large figure in characteristic style of Ratanakosin. Buddha Shakyamuni is seated in the Paryankasana with his hands resting in his lap, on a representative and four-stepped royal base; the upmost step of the base shows lotus and decorative hangings on the view side. Buddha has broad shoulders, a juvenile body and a maidenly facial expression with lowered eyes below arched eyebrows. The Ushnisha presents a flame. Comletely gilt in lacquer, and traces of age.
