拍品描述: Yellow bronze. Burma, Shan, 18th to 1st half 19th cent. Buddha Shakyamuni is seated on a very high, partly open-worked lotus throne in Padmasana, with one hand touching the earth, in the bhumisparsha mudra, as sign of his victory over Mara. The hand in his lap holds a little ball, the so-called cincihna mudra, symbolic gesture for "grasping a grain of truth", the spiritual truth.
