拍品描述: White marble. China, presumably Northern Wei dynasty (385 – 535) A group standing on a rectangular base in front of a nimbus with finely rendered details. A larger figure in the center presenting the Buddhist bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, known as Guanyin Pusa in China, flanked by small acolytes, all with a halo and flaming background. A vase and lions on the front of the base, both indications of the named bodhisattva. An inscription on the back. Remnants of red colour as well as earth.大理石雕菩薩立像碑. 中國, 約北魏朝 (385-535). 高 26.8 厘米.
