Bronze. India, Konyak Naga, presumably 18th-19th cent.
A very old, massive bronze neck ring in round pipe form (diam. 12 mm), which composes a light oval and is open at nape of the neck, where the wearer had to squeeze his neck through. Toward the chest side are 12 spoon-shaped attached elements, displaying upward toward the top fine ornament in concentric circles. Delicately fine decor in the art of fishbone design is also included on the ring itself. This is only partly visible, presumably it was gradually worn off with time through wear. Patina, underneath (in the “spoons“) also green.
