Bronze. India, Chang Naga, presumably 18th-19th cent.
A very old, rare collector′s piece. The “thorns “are sharp cones, here leaning somewhat outward. Supposedly the teats of a buffalo cow, their total number is 2 times 11. The weight is relatively heavy, the piece could have been crafted in full casting, as no casting core is seen on inner side of the cone bases. The curvature of this armband is quite powerful, as is the patina.
