拍品描述: Two coloured paintings from the Bhagavad Gita. North India, Kashmir, Mid 19th cent. The painting on the silver background offers variations of lotus flowers with insects whizzing around them and birds walking on the ground. Each detail is painted precisely, the borders are embellished with floral vines. The other page shows delicately curved leaves as well as red flowers, a very fine and partly gilded vine-border encompassed by a gold frame. SIZE APPROX. 14 x 9,5 CM EACH
