Jade. China, Qing Dynasty, 19th cent. to around 1900
A very fine work, which presents a vigorously depicted dragon within a circular framework. The dragon is coiled many times, has scales, lively rendition of his head, tail split, tiny claws crafted in open-work. The fine pattern on the border embodies archaic spirit with grid fields and stretched spirals. The grommets are gracefully curved and elegant. Very luminous, light greenish jade with very lovely translucence, two opaque brownish areas were so chosen in order to create balanced symmetry. 玉龙纹佩 清朝晚期, 公元19-20世纪 高 4.6 厘米; 宽 3.9 厘米
HEIGHT 4,6 CM, DIAMETER 3,9 CM
