拍品描述: Wood with colors and gilding. China, late Qing Dynasty Elongated high wood relief, offering figurative scenes in rich open-work carving on three levels. The border is decorated with finely carved floral patterns, the uppermost center is also an insect (or bat?). The middle section is the biggest and shows a building between trees, on the terrace is a bearded wise man with boys, peasant figures below. The scenes above and below are martial, above mounted figures in armor brandishing weapons, exactly as in the lower section.
