Second quarter 20th century, France. Attributed to Edgar Brandt (1880-1960). The rectangular mirror plate applied with an oval resin rope decoration mounted with raised luminescent dots within a reticulated frame decorated with a row of pierced "stars" within rows of notches. The circular wrought iron crest centering the bust of a German Shepard dog framed by pierced scrolling vinery applied with tendrils and berries continuing down the outer edges of the frame. The lower frame edge applied with ribbon bow tied scrolling berry sprigs. Mirror plate with shell fracture at back of mirror proper left lower corner. Frame retains original surface with very good color and patina. Losses of several berries at tips of stems throughout. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 26" x 21 -1/2".
