Second half 19th century, probably England. The handle profusely carved with putti and cherubs amidst scrolling and finery playing musical instruments. The grip with sea-scrolled leaf tip, joined to a tapering hard wood shaft, terminated in a brass ferule. Very good with undisturbed surface. Handle is 11" long.
