Late 18th century, France. The rectangular top with canted corners above the conforming case of two long drawers. each carved with bow-tied foliet swags and leafy branches centering around escheon with geometric molded borders. The drawers flanked by stop fluted carved pilasters continuing to tapered feet. The apron carved with a classical urn flanked by leafy vine tendrils. The case sides with raised chamfered panels. Commode with original brasses, top with old seam split, mellow patina and honey brown color, overall good. Condition: Dimensions: 35" x 49" x 23".
