拍品描述: 4.70ct Near Flawless Emerald, 2.10ctw VS1-VS2/G-H Diamond & Solid Platinum Cocktail Ring (Comes W/$65,000 Appraisal) - This magnificent cocktail ring combines timeless elegance with sophisticated, modern design, and is absolutely beautiful. The ring boasts a 4.70ct (approximate) genuine near flawless oval-cut emerald, which displays a stunning pure vibrant green color and is stunningly eye clean. An emerald of this quality could retail for approx. $12,000 or more per carat, due to its larger size and amazing color. This is truly one of the finest emeralds we have ever seen come through our auction house, and we have sold over $100 million in jewelry in the last decade. The emerald is mounted in a 4-prong setting in the center of the piece, surrounded by a cluster of approx. 2.10ctw genuine VS1-VS2/G-H diamonds. The emerald is directly surrounded by round-cut diamonds which flow into marquise-cuts on the left and right sides of the piece, and the ring is then finished with baguette-cut diamond accents on the top and bottom sides, creating a beautifully sophisticated look. This ring has excellent investment potential, as colored gemstones are now fetching premium prices and breaking auction records. The colored gemstone industry is now achieving annual retail sales of approx. $18 billion-$21 billion, with many designers saying that the emerald is dominating the luxury jewelry market.
