拍品描述: Description: LARGE AND SMALL PHOTO ALBUM.China. Shanghai and Malaysia. Partly dated by hand on the back of the photos, ca. 1900. Paper prints. Albums by Japanese artisans with painted covers and inlays of colored bone and mother of pearl. The pages of the large album covered with painted silk, inside 51 photos, mainly portraits and family scenes. The small leporello album with 112 different sized photos. Some with military in China, landscapes and some family and portraits. Some smaller photos of Malaysia. Large album ca. 35 x 27cm, small album ca. 20 x 15cm. Condition A/B.Provenance:-Hermann Gerleff (1871-unknown) Traveled in 1901 with his wife Emma Land on the Princess Irene, a ship of the North German Lloyd to Shanghai and spent some years there. Since then in family possession. Provenienz:-Hermann Gerleff (1871-unbekannt) reiste 1901 mit seiner Ehefrau Emma Land auf der Prinzess Irene, einem Schiff der Norddeutschen Lloyd nach Shanghai und verbrachte dort einige Jahre.
