The canvas measures approximately 13" x 18", and is installed in a frame which has been custom painted by the artist. Outer frame size is 19 x 24 inches.
The artist, Bruce Wood is a painter of New England marine and countryside scenes. As a teen, Wood learned plain air landscape painting in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where he studied with Emile Gruppe and a variety of Cape Ann marine painters. He went on to formal art training at Massachusetts College of Art (BFA), and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (MFA).
Currently he is the oil painting conservator and director of the Woodshed Gallery in Franklin, Massachusetts, and an active member of the Lyme Art Association, Cape Cod Art Association, and several other New England art associations.
