Description

To the upper left, a jharokha portrait of Shah Jahan, dressed in white, holding a precious piece of jewellery in his left hand. To the upper right, a jharokha portrait of Farrukh Siyar, wearing golden attire and holding a jewel in his right hand, mirroring his ancestor. Both emperors wearing chains of pearls and large, colourful gems, as well as ornate turbans. To the lower left, a further image of a corpulent bearded man holding a sheep. To the lower right, a nim qalam miniature of a dervish on a speckled background, signed “amal-e Mozaffar-Ali”. Golden, plain, and turquoise floral borders with white rules, and a white margin decorated with golden leaves and red rules. On the back, a quatrain calligraphy in Nastaliq script on a blue background. Framed under passepartout and glazed.
