The washer is modelled as the drunken poet Li Bai wearing a scholar's cap and green-glazed robes decorated with scattered flowerheads. He leans against a wine jar decorated with further flowers, which forms the water vessel.
Condition: A section comprising the forehead and the shoulders of Li Bai has been off and restuck with traces of old staple repair, with an associated crack leading down to the foot.
