拍品描述: The hongmu ruyi sceptre is carved with a ruyi-shaped head and the upper surface carved with raised swirls, the slender triangular-section handle is gently curved and the base is carved as a further ruyi-head. The wood is of a deep brown tone. The boxwood ruyi sceptre is naturalistically carved as a gnarled lingzhi stem with the ruyi-head forming the head of the sceptre and the gnarled end of the stem forms the handle. There is a further realistic lingzhi fungus growing from the stem. Length of 26.00 cm and wide 6.50 cm. Please note: this lot contains dalbergia and is therefore subject to the relevant trade restrictions in correspondence with CITES regulations. Customers should familiarize themselves with the relevant CITES regulations before bidding. More information can be obtained through the saleroom. Condition: The hongmu sceptre: Appears to be in overall good condition with a fine age crack to the wood just below the ruyi head.
