The jar is decorated and gilt to the body with a continuous scene of boys at play in a procession with instruments such as trumpets and drums, flats, and hobby horses, all amongst pierced rocks and plantain in a fenced garden. The scene is framed by a lappet band to the foot and a ruyi and keyfret band to the shoulder and a spearhead band just below the rim. The base is glazed turquoise with an apocryphal Jiaqing mark.
Condition: Appears to be in overall good condition, with light wear to the enamels.
