Richly adorned with beaded jewelry and a billowing scarf, his serene face is characterized by heavy-lidded downcast eyes and slender lips forming a subtle smile. The hair is arranged in a tall chignon, secured behind a five-leaf crown.Cast in bronze, the figure is firmly mounted on an ornate repousse base.Provenance: Austrian private collection. The repousse base with dents, small cracks, and minor losses. Weight: 437.5 g Dimensions: Height 21 cm Shadakshari Lokeshvara is a revered form of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion, depicted with four arms and associated with the six-syllable mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum." The deity plays a crucial role in Buddhist rituals, symbolizing the interconnectedness of wisdom and compassion in Mahayana and Vajrayana practices.
