Of circular form, finely worked with a central deity dancing atop a floral blossom with skeletal body and voluminous dhoti, flanked by eight similarly swaying attendants, and further surrounded by pairs of elephants and similar figures in striding pose and riding atop makaras, all enclosed by a beaded band encircling the rim.Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. Istvan Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.Condition: Very good condition with notable ancient wear, few small dents, remnants of soil encrustations.
