China, 1662-1722. Finely potted, of conical form, resting on a short foot ring, and the walls delicately carved in anhua with two scaly sinuous dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, encircling a central anhua-carved four-character apocryphal mark Yongle nianzhi.

Condition: Excellent condition with only minor wear.

Weight: 44.3 g
Dimensions: Diameter 9.9 cm

Literature comparison:

Auction: Zacke, 29. September 2022, lot 115
Price: EUR 7,800 or EUR 8,500 adjusted for inflation at the time of writing
Description: A rare Tianbai Anhua-decorated ‘dragon’ bowl, Kangxi period
Expert remark: Compare the closely related Anhua-carved dragons and the apocryphal Yongle mark. Note the different size (13.3 cm).
