尺寸:50.2*94*45.7cm*4 【来源】 1. 前吴彬《十面灵璧图卷》藏家 Tamsen Ann Ziff 旧藏。 【参阅】 1. 雍明堂《中国古典家具与生活环境》罗启妍收藏精选,1998:99; 2. 田家青《明清家具集珍》,三联书店(香港)有限公司,2001:10。 四面平壸门式榻一组四件,榉木制成。榻为四面平结构,四面平结构是中国古代家具中经典的造型。由于自上而下四面皆平直,故曰“四面平”。相关研究证实四面平为箱型结构演化,而箱型结构是我国最早的家具结体方式,在商周青铜器当中就可以见到,该类形制对后世木质家具中的“四面平结构”产生深远影响。 榻面边抹、牙条和腿足皆平齐相接成为四面平式。榻面攒边框平镶心板,侧面可见透榫。面框四角与腿足上端以粽角榫接合,底部四面格肩连横枨,横枨下留矮足,看面中部形成四面封闭的空间,皆装曲臂中尖的壸门式牙条造圈口。牙条相交处过渡圆缓,外缘起阳线。壶门在家具中的应用可追溯至先秦时期,如商代饕餮纹板足悬铃俎,为后来家具中广泛运用此线条埋下了伏笔。 此组四面平壸门式榻是中国低矮家具向高型家具转变过程中,集合坐与承两类功能的高级家具样式。四面平壸门式结构承继传统箱式造型,在唐宋绘画中亦多有表现。如唐代周昉绘《内人双陆图》、《宫乐图》,以及北宋早期《文会图》、《春宴图》等图中,都有壸门式桌案造型的承具。壸门式箱型结构在明代以后发展出高型桌案样式,常见于明清绘画与版画插图。 此组四面平榻,如将其视作四个单位,便有南宋黄伯思《燕几图》作排峦、瑶池、玉沼,组合家具之乐。两两拼合能二人对弈,一三相对成一案一榻,线性排列便侧卧于长榻,横竖展开成大长方榻,则为古画中高僧传道授学之用。整套四面平榻既可供人坐卧,又可承载物品,围起可置香几、烛台,变化万千,蕴含高古遗响,为文人雅士所偏好,且四件成组,保存完好,十分珍罕。 SET OF FOUR JUMU PLATFORMS STOOLS 18th Century This set of four flat-sided platform stools is made from Jumu wood, embodying a classic design in ancient Chinese furniture. The flat sides and straight edges derive from the box form seen in Shang and Zhou bronzes. The surfaces feature frames with corner joints flush with the legs, creating a seamless look. The bases connect four shoulders with horizontal stretchers, enclosing space with curved arm braces and circular openings. These versatile stools can be used as seats or low tables and are often depicted in Tang and Song paintings, exemplifying a refined blend of functionality and style favored by scholars. Provenance 1.
