拍品描述: A PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONN CANDLESTICK HOLDERS THAT MEASURE 12 3/4" TALL BY ABOUT 5 1/2" WIDE. Note: This item tested positive for traces of gold by U. S. Customs agents. This item is authentic cloisonn. Brass wires were hand bent to form the entire design and then fused onto a copper body by heat. Each compartment of the design was then filled with the desired color of paint, fired in a kiln and then sanded by hand. Because of the paint shrinking when fired in the kiln, this process had to be repeated several times before the piece was finally polished by hand. This is NOT imitation cloisonn that has had its design stamped onto the body of the piece. SHIPPING AND HANDLING IS 30 WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL US.
