A RED-OVERLAY PEKING GLASS 'SHOULAO AND MAGU' VASE AND COVER
Incised Qianlong four-character mark, Qing Dynasty Of baluster form, carved through the red glass down to the 'snowflake' ground with Shoulao carrying a staff of peaches on one side, Magu with a boy attendant on the reverse, the shoulders set with lion head handles below a further pair of scroll-form handles, the neck with a band of plum blossom between ruyi head bands, the base with a band of lappets, the domed cover carved with a Buddhist lion dog finial above scrolling clouds, the base with a four-character reign mark 24.5cm (9 1/2in) high (2).
