Tang to Yuan Dynasty The ewer with an ovoid body, short tapering spout and flaring neck, covered in an ivory glaze, the base incised with with the character ying (abundant); the ivory glazed zhadou with compressed globular body rising to a wide flared mouth; the jar unglazed to the exterior and decorated with a combed design below a band of studs, the interior covered in a russet-hued glaze.
