Four 19th or early 20th century lacquer and gilt Japanese boxes. The first is a large lacquer box with gilt floral decoration with two brass side handles, measuring 8.5 inches high x 13.3 inches wide x 10.5 inches deep. Good condition, tight age crack in bottom. The next is a round black gilt lacquer box with red interior raised on a flared round foot with foliate gilt decoration, measuring 3.7 inches high x 4.3 inches in diameter. Two smaller boxes including a fan form box and round box, both with gilt lacquer decoration and applied silver foliage. Each measures approximately 2 inches wide. Sold together as one lot.
