The 19th century collection consists of 17 hand painted scenes including temples, beachscapes, farmers and elephants. They are mounted together in a matted frame. All but two of the miniature paintings are protected with a separate beveled glass cover. Family historical information revealed that they were brought from India in 1864 by Reverend Edward Webb, missionary, the grandfather of Richard B. Webb. Information written on reverse. Good condition. They range in size from .7 to 2 inches long. Frame measures 10.7 inches high x 12.7 inches wide.
