WEST Hoboken NJ' (lower right), colorful and impressionistic depiction of The American steamship Philadelphia at sea, housed in a gilt wood frame. A similar Jacobsen painting of the Philadelphia sold at Christies in 2005 for over $20,000 (sale info below). This work would make a splendid addition to any fine maritime American art collection.
