拍品描述: Oil on canvas painting, featuring a neo-expressionist abstract painting; signed and attr. Francisco Bores (Spanish, 1898-1972); 15.5 x 12.5 inch (39.37 x 31.75 cm). Francisco Borès was one of the leading Spanish modern artists of the early twentieth century. Associated with the School of Paris Borès helped to break down the constraints of conventional figuration, and this magnificent work “Nu Couché” is a major example from the pinnacle of the artist’s oeuvre. The artist’s work is now represented in numerous major museums worldwide including: Musée National d’Art Moderne, Paris; Musée d’Art Moderne, Paris; Museo de Bellas Artes, Bilbao; Museo Nacional, Madrid; Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporaneo, Madrid; Kunsthaus, Zurich; Kuntsforeningen, Copenhagen; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Museo Nacional, Buenos Aires; Baltimore Museum of Art; Wadsworth Atheneum, Connecticut; Museum of Modern Art, New York.
