拍品描述: Old Tibetan Silver 8 Auspicious Symbols Manjushri Bodhisattva Shrine Box (Ghau) - Tibet
19th century, shape of a miniature shrine,the sides and backing plate are of copper, two pairs of applied brass lugs are to each side to hold a belt or strap, the front with silver iron mixed metal alloy overlay shows leaf scroll work and within are the Himalayan Buddhist Eight Auspicious Emblems, which consist of: precious parasol, pair of golden fishes, treasure vase, lotus flower, white-spiraling conch shell, endless knot, victory banner, and golden wheel, at the center top is the Wish-fulfilling jewel Cintamani, and the center bottom is the monster mask of Kirtimukha, the central window at the front is of arched form and permitts a small red corall meditation figure of the Bodhisattva Manjushri to be seen, slight traces of age, three sides fire-gilded, partly worn, c.21x16x4.5cm Provenance from an important german private collection
