equals the Buddhist Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, exquisitely and skilfully modelled, the elegant figure depicted standing on a round base buffeted with waves,wearing a layered robe draped over softly rounded shoulders and opening at the chest to reveal a beaded necklace, the hair drawn up into a high chignon secured with a tiara shaped as a portrait of the Buddha Amitabha and covered with a cloth, her face with very fine features and lowered eyes, in her left arm she is holding a long ruyi scepter, two fingertips of her right hand (the thumb and the pointing finger), scepter head restored, H.ca. 44,5cm, carved and varnished round wooden stand on four feet, D.c.16cm
