拍品描述: Chinese Ming Period blue and white porcelain jar. Sturdily potted in a bulbous body, gently tapered on shoulder toward prominent straight neck with wide opening. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in cobalt blue underglaze, depicted group of high rank officer within terraced landscape scenes. The geometrical patter and floral motifs banded to the neck under the rim. Its shoulder bordered with mythical creature between scrolling clouds, and wavy LiShui water on the foot. The glaze appearance on the blue painting resembled the texture of an orange peel "ju-pi" (chu-p'i) or a chicken skin. The porcelain vase is displayed upon a carved hardwood stand.
The underside left unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
