拍品描述: Very fine Chinese Liao Dynasty porcelain potted in a low bowl form, with narrow cavetto, rising steep sides toward the flat wide opening, raised upon slightly concaved and narrow foot base. Covered overall in a pale-turquoise-blue glaze falling short of the foot, revealed the olive brown shades around the rim. Two splashes of decorative reddish-purple as a result of copper in the glaze characterized the cavetto. The underbase glaze stopped before the foot base, displayed the pale-creme ground with burnt orange and darker spots in the firing. Remarkable “earthworm tracks”, which appear on many Jun pieces, resembling the trails left in soil by earthworms.
