Ink and color on silk, each mounted, framed and glazed, the first
depicting a seated official in Ming-style robes gesturing towards a
parrot on a stand suspended from the ceiling of a garden pavilion,
with several boy attendants nearby, while a group of women play
musical instruments and several officials arrive followed by attendants
bearing gifts, all shadowed by a large garden rock and banana plant
in the foreground; the second depicting several horses resting and
frolicking amidst rocks and willow trees in a courtyard, while scholars
stand nearby observing a dog with its attendant (stains, repairs,
abrasions, creases).
