The ovoid shades painted with blue enamel trim and bright colors to
depict mirror images of the characters Jia Baoyu and Xue Baochai
from the Dream of the Red Chamber, reversed by an inscription
bearing the seals of the Qianlong emperor, the waisted stands also
trimmed in blue enamel.
