The first, a wide shallow cup painted on the exterior in famille verte
enamels with the poet Tao Yuanming admiring chrysanthemums as
he sits drinking wine in a garden, the countersunk base bearing a
four-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue (chipped rim); the
second cup of inverted bell form painted in gilt and iron red enamels
with a dragon chasing a flaming pearl through white enameled
waves, the recessed base bearing a six-character Xianfeng mark in
iron red seal script.
