The kanshitsu (dry lacquer) head of a Buddhist deity with serene
features and a tall chignon, the wood-core applied with lacquersaturated
hemp-cloth coating, the face and neck finished with an
application of gold leaf, the hair applied with a green pigment (losses,
wormage), with a fitted wooden stand.
