Meiji era, late 19th century
Each decorated in polychrome enamels on a mirror black ground,
comprising a pair of faceted stick-neck vases with mirror images of
flowering plants and trees below a jeweled garland band at the rim;
an ovoid vase with faceted sides and decorated with blossoming
wisteria vines, lilies and chrysanthemums, a stiff-leaf band encircling
the splayed foot; and a square vase with rounded corners and
fronted by blossoming lilies, a small clump of Chinese bellflowers to
the reverse (small percussion crack); all unsigned.
