A group of six surimono prints
Woodblock print surimono, comprising:
?1) Kubo Shunman (1757-1820), Juyon dan (Episode 14), embellished with silver pigment and embossing, from the series Asakusagawa Tsurezuregusa (Essays in idleness for the Asakusa Group), signed Shunman sei, circa 1813-17
?2) Totoya Hokkei (1780-1850), Trained Monkey Performing with Jingle and Gohei, embellished with metallic pigments and embossing, signed Hokkei, 1824
?3) Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), Gourd-shape Flask and Plum Blossoms, signed Kinoeuma toshi Hiroshige seihitsu (in 1834 sincerely by Hiroshige)
?4) Morimura Hogi (1805-1862), Fruit Basket, embellished with metallic pigments, sealed Hogi
?5) Shibata Zeshin (1807-1891), Morning Glory, signed Zeshin and sealed Shin, dated 1873
?6) Anonymous (late 19th Century), Winter Village, sealed Ho and Ko, dated 1st month 1899
