The jade is carved as a rooster with its head slightly turned and feet tucked underneath, the wings and tail finely detailed with plumage. The body is pierced with a hole for suspension. The stone is of pale celadon tone with russet striations and inclusions. 2 ? in. (6.3 cm.) long
