The bowl has deep rounded sides rising to a flaring rim from a short foot ring, and it is finely carved to the interior with a lotus spray roundel encircled by a wide band of lotus borne on a dense floral scroll. The exterior is similarly carved above a key-fret band to the short foot, all covered with an even olive-green celadon glaze, with the exception of an unglazed circle on the base.
