The ink cake is finely moulded and highlight in gilt on one side to depict a landscape scene with two scholars in a pavilion. The other side with a square panel enclosing an inscription huanqing huzi weiduoshi, ‘Summoning subordinates and calling for one’s sons makes for a busy life’. The ink cake is bound and moulded on one narrow side with Qianlong nian zhi, ‘Made in the Qianlong reign’, and Guhuaxuan cangmo, ‘treasured inkcake of Guhua studio’.
