The group is comprised of a carved bamboo root lion group together with a lacquered boxwood stand, a small rectangular Chengni inkstone in a fitted hongmu box and cover incised with bamboo and a signature, Suchuan, a small shaped Duan inkstone carved with a monk on the underside and inscribed on one narrow side with Zhuchan zhi yan, ‘inkstone of Zhuchan’, two shaped bamboo cups incised with poetic inscriptions, and a boxwood ink
stand with a hongmu stand.
