Rare Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Censer on three feet with a design of Naskhi calligraphy of Verses from Sa'di's "Bustan" in reverse writing; rim with key fret border. Tianshun 3-character Mark in underglaze blue at the bottom of the glazed interior and possibly of the period (1457–1464). Good condition. Height 3 7/8 inches (10 cm.). Diameter 6 inches (15.3 cm.). Provenance: From a Private New York Collector purchased circa 2000 from Imperial Oriental Art and with their label on the unglazed base.
