Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism and is the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. He is said to have travelled far and wide across Asia, teaching people of 'ik onkar', a concept with a unique spiritual, social, and political platform based on equality, fraternal love, goodness, and virtue. This image depicts his encounter with the Mughal emperor Babur, who had invaded his town and imprisoned him.
